Carrie Laverne Morton

Carrie Laverne Morton was born June 30, 1940 to parents John and Rose Neighbors. She entered eternal rest on December 2, 2020 at 10:40 pm surrounded by her loved ones. Carrie was a devoted wife, loving mother, dedicated grandmother and loyal friend. She loved her family more than anything in this life, they were always her first priority. Carrie was blessed with a beautiful marriage of 44 years to the love of her life and best friend. They built a lovely life together. Carrie was always looking out for others, she was generous and kind and was there for anyone in need. She had such a loving and giving heart. Carrie’s sweet and caring spirit led her to a career in caregiving and it brought her great joy to be able to help love and care for others in their time of need. In her free time she loved cooking, singing and shopping but her favorite pastime was spending time with her family.

Carrie was preceded in death by her parents John and Rose Neighbors, her siblings Dorothy Fayne, Christine Lewis, Joann Grooms, Linda Brown, Alice Hamilton, Lewis Neighbors, Pat Neighbors, Butch Neighbors, Jerry Neighbors, and son Marion Ray Buck. She is survived by her husband Jerry Morton, children Mary Harvey, Melanie Wren, Melissa Tombs, Shania Morton, Shane Morton and wife Michelle, David Morton and wife Amy; niece Karen Williams, and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Carrie was well loved and will be truly missed by all.
