Mr. Bobbie R. Fortner

Bobbie Raye Fortner was born on March 13, 1937 in Grant County, Kentucky to parents Ethel and Julia (Parsons) Fortner and entered into eternal rest on December 25, 2014 at the age of 77. Bobbie loved and adored his children. He loved being outside gardening, tinkering on cars and boating. Bobbie also enjoyed working on electronics. He worked at Texas Instruments for over 35 years and received several awards during his employment. Bobbie was a Christian by faith. He served in The United States Air Force. Bobbie was a very loving and caring man who was always joking and making people laugh. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Bobbie was preceded in death by his parents, brothers; Harold Lee Fortner and Freddie Fortner, sisters; Audrey Roland, Emma Anderson and Inez Leinmiller. He is survived by his daughters; Linda Raye Scott and husband Jason of Greenville, Lisa Kaye Fortner of Louisville, KY, Tracy Diane Fortner of Mabank, son David Lee Fortner of Tool, grandchildren; Nicole, Anthony, Donald, Alison and Peyton, great-grandchildren; Taylor and Madison, sister Freda Locke of Kentucky, brothers; Frank Fortner of Lubbock and Phillip Fortner of Kentucky, his beloved dog Spot and horse Outlaw, other loving family members and many more friends.
