Mr. Billy Gene Davis

Billy was born on August 21, 1924 in Kaufman, Texas to parents Henry Alvin Davis and Sarah Brittie Saulters and entered into eternal rest on June 2, 2017 at the age of 92. Billy married the love of his life, Margie Faye, on May 13, 1942 in Kaufman, Texas. He worked as a mechanic for many years. Billy enjoyed cooking and spending time with this family and friends. His children and grandchildren knew Billy as PaPa. He loved being outdoors, gardening, swimming and mowing. Billy especially loved being on that mower. He was a member and Elder of Saving Grace Ministries. He was one of the founders. Billy loved his church and loved to minister to people. He was an amazing man who will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Billy was preceded in death by his parents, wife Margie Davis, son Alvin Davis, daughter Shirley Grant and grandson Tony Ray.

He is survived by his sister Dorothy Kines of Mabank, his loving children; Don Davis and wife Rosie of Alba, Judy Davis of Mabank, Delores Patton and husband Lester of Canton and son Charles Davis and wife Lisa of Mabank, 21 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren, other loving family members and many more friends.
