Mrs. Billie Irene Belcher

Mrs.Billie Irene Belcher was born on July 29, 1930 in Kemp, Texas to parents Dewey Porter and Allie Belle (Wright) Porter and entered into eternal rest on October 13, 2019 at the age of 89. She graduated from Kemp High School, then worked for and retired from the U. S. Postal Service where she was known as an efficient hard worker with leadership skills and was the last sorter at her facility before a machine took over. She also worked as a security guard. Billie was a member of the Beacon Hill Church of Christ. She enjoyed time with her family, knitting and crossword puzzles.

Billie was preceded in death by her parents, Dewey and Allie Porter; her sister Dorothy Jean Locklin; her brother Dalton Porter; her daughter-in-law Teresa Belcher and her granddaughter Doris Fitzgerald.

She is survived by her son Porter Belcher of Mabank, Texas; her grandson Jason Belcher and wife Amanda Carpenter of Mabank, Texas; her great-granddaughter Jaci Belcher of Mabank Texas; her great- granddaughter Kinsey Hefley of Mabank, Texas; her great-grandson Jacob Belcher of Tool, Texas; her great-granddaughter Natleigh Stearman of Tool, Texas; her great great grandson Chase Fitzgerald of Quinlan, Texas; and great great grandsons Korbyn Payne; Michael Murray; Dwayne Murray; Adonis Murray; and numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and many more friends.
