Mrs. Barbara Lynn Lawson

Barbara Lynn Lawson was born in Athens, TX on November 3, 1958 to parents Jack and Idella (O’neal) Couch. She entered into rest on December 11, 2019 in Gun Barrel City, TX. Barbara grew up in east Texas and attended Athens High school and Trinity Valley Community College, where she met the love of her life James Lawson, and they spent 37 wonderful years together. Barbara spent her life taking care of her children and grandchildren. She was always willing to help anyone she met; she was a true caretaker. In her free time Barbara would enjoy playing games with her grandchildren, whether on the phone or computer, she loved being able to spend precious time with them. She was a fan of Willie Nelson and was always fascinated by the moon.

She is preceded in death by her parents, daughter Pureta Locke and sister Jackie Chitty.

Barbara is survived by her loving husband James Lawson, son Ricky Lawson of Germany, daughter Sandy Beider of Germany, daugther Lisa Moore and husband Jimmy of Malakoff, TX, son Randy Lawson and wife Katie Nokes of Mabank, TX, grandchildren Chandra Allbritton, Casey Locke, Yanik Hacker, James Moore, Jamison Moore, Kyle Lawson, Jake Lawson, brother Roy Couch and wife Nancy of Athens, TX, sister Jan Burns and husband Dewayne of Malakoff, TX and many other family members and life long friends.
