Alan grew up in Dallas before graduating from Sky Line High School then moving to Mesquite. He had a fascination with learning and collecting, knowledge and keepsakes from the World War II era. Alan also accumulated futuristic, sci-fi movie collections, with his prized possessions from the movies Star Wars and Star Trek. Alan also had a love of cars. He owned more than one Camaro from the 1960’s that he adored. On his days off, Alan was an avid sports fan. He loved to watch football and root for his hometown Cowboys. Other times, the Mavericks or Rangers would catch his attention and support.
Alan is preceded in death by his father, Jody Mitchell; close friend, Marina Calvary; brother-in-law, Don Noble; lifetime friend, Shawn Wright.
He is survived by his loving mother, JoAnn Bolden; brother, Kevin Mitchell; sister, Cheryl Noble; nephews: David Torres, Joseph Mitchell, Jaxson Mitchell; nieces: Ashlie Torres, Kyla Mitchell; 3 great nephews; 2 great nieces; and many cherished family members and close friends.
