October 29, 1923-September 15, 2017 Wes Hammack, 93, was born to Wallace and Vada Hammack in Hamilton County, Texas. He passed away peacefully at Sunrise Ridge Adult Family Home on September 15, 2017 in Puyallup, WA. He served our country during WWII as a Staff Sergeant in the Army Air Force. After being honorably discharged he returned home to begin his career as a retail manager for 60+ years. Wes is survived by his wife of 68 years, Dorothy Maxine. They were married on June 5, 1949 in Brownwood, Texas. Wes leaves behind three children, Charles Wes and wife Liz of Mt. Vernon, WA, Theresa Call and husband Norm of Chesterfield, MO, and Janna Kesterson and husband Greg of Puyallup, WA. Wes was very proud of his five grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren, Jennifer, Julie, Bradley, Adam, Jacob, Parker, Payton, Ethan, and Sienna. Wes was the eldest of five siblings, Robert (deceased), Roy (deceased), James, and Laurene. Memorial service will be held at the Purdy and Walters Floral Hills Cemetery at 11:00 am on Thursday 21, 2017 in Lynnwood, WA with the graveside service at 12:00 and a reception to follow. We are especially blessed to have Wes's nephew reverend Mike Hammack from Abilene, Texas officiating the service. Arrangements under the direction of Purdy & Walters at Floral Hills, Lynnwood, WA.
