Ronald Storz “Pastor Storz” passed away peacefully in Mukilteo, Washington, on February 18th 2022, surrounded by his loving family. Ronald was born in Erie, Pennsylvania, on December 8th 1938, to Harry and Mildred (Stollatis) Storz. He was the second of two children.
At the age of 12 years old he accepted Christ as his personal Savior after attending a revival with his mother. Upon high school graduation, he joined the United States Air Force and served 4 years overseas in Germany where he was a Cryptologic Language Analyst during the cold war. Ronald also found much enjoyment playing basketball on an Air Force rec-league team that traveled around Germany to compete with other teams.
While in the military, Ronald reaffirmed God’s calling on his life into full-time ministry and immediately after leaving the military, he enrolled in Bible college. Ronald graduated from Baptist Bible College in Springfield, Missouri, in 1962 with a degree in Theology. In May of 1997, he was given an honoree doctorate for his many years of service in the ministry.
While in Bible college, Ronald met his beautiful wife, Nena “Mary”, and they were married in April of 1961. They shared a blessed life together for 60+ years and welcomed 4 children whom they raised to know and love Jesus. Ronald was a devoted father to his children and treasured the time he was able to spend with each of them.
After starting a church in Billings, Montana, and pastoring a church in New Prague, Minnesota, Ronald felt God calling him to start a church in the Pacific Northwest. In 1967 he started a mission work that ultimately became Everett Bible Baptist Church and was honored to shepherd that church for 40 years.
Ronald enjoyed playing basketball at the YMCA, hiking, gardening and watching football and basketball on TV. On his time off and into retirement he and his wife loved to travel through the Northwest in their RV, exploring with their bikes and kayaks. Wenatchee State Park was one of their favorite places to stay at.
Pastor Storz’ life was centered around ministry to his church family and traveling to speak as a guest speaker in many other churches.
Ronald is preceded in death by his father, Harry Storz; his mother, Mildred McCleary; and his sister, Margorie Taylor. He is survived by his loving wife, Nena “Mary” Storz; his children Debbie Gaustad and husband James; Jimna House and husband Steve; John Storz and wife Ginney; Joy Harrop and husband Scott; his grandchildren Joseph and Jacob Gaustad; Mark House and wife Kelcie; Shannon Blowers and husband Brady; Dana House; Terrell Storz and wife Sara; Tyler Storz and wife Jessica; Tanner Storz; Cameron and Carly Harrop; his great-grandchildren Jason and Carson House; Finley and Ezekiel Storz; Asher Storz.
