Tyler was born on June 20th, 1984, in Provo, Utah. He spent his childhood in Washington State where he loved waking up to the mountains, playing sports and being creative. He moved to Florida when he was young but always held Washington as his home. Tyler could truly learn anything. He had an amazing soccer career, always excelled in school, and could create works of art that amazed so many. But his most prized talent was the ability to see people and surround himself with the most incredible and genuine individuals. His friendships were lifelong. Tyler graduated with a degree in finance from the University of South Florida. After college his career path led him back to Washington where his work with Expedia truly let his brilliance shine through.
Tyler is survived by his loving wife of 11 years, Jennifer; his children, Emma and Jacob Mitchell; his parents, Brian and Colleen Mitchell, and Joni and Shane Nelson, his siblings; Mackenzie Woods, Cole Mitchell, and Alex Mitchell, and his grandmother; Margaret Giles. He was preceded by his Grandparents Mary and (William) Payne; Jack Giles; Leo and (Mary) Driscoll; and his beloved dog, Diesel.
Tyler had a contagious laugh and created so many treasured moments with family and friends. Tyler loved his family so much. He held strong when many would have given up because he had so much to teach his children, and he wanted so badly to watch them grow up. Some of our favorite memories together include taking the kids fishing and camping, teaching them to play sports and ride bikes, Friday night movies and popcorn, and he loved drawing with them before bed. His talents will live on through them and he will never be forgotten.
