Buenas dias Hilda and Family, 

Que La Paz del Señor este con ustedes! Te escribo para extender nuestras condolencias. Angie told me that Neil passed and I wanted to ask you to pass our condolences to your children and their family. I only met Neal for a short while
but knew about Him for a long time. When I was little I wondered who was this very tall Air Force guy who married my cousin. He was like an enigma for me wondering in Mexico who he was. I had heard so much about him. I remember Jimmie and Hugo talking about him when we had talks about UFOs and stuff. Mi tia Pina lo presumia and it was so good to wonder about him. Once I met him it was a pleasure to spend time with him. He seemed to enjoy our talks and we had a few laughs together. I hope and we pray that God has him in a better place next to Him. God is good, all the time! Even when we
do not understand why certain things happen, he is looking out for us.

May he Rest In Peace.

My very first job was at Burger King -  that’s where I first met Neal. It was 1985 and he came in with some of his buddies for lunch. I still remember the day. 

He was all dressed in his Air Force green camouflage uniform. After he got done eating, Neal came back to order more food and when he paid, he slipped in a note for me with the money. 

At first, I told him that I could not offer him anything other than friendship, but he was always a smooth talker and we ended up dating. We were married almost 2yrs later, on February 14th 1987. Valentine’s Day - my kids and I still make jokes that he could never remember the day. Neal and I moved to Washington state from Las Vegas, and that’s where we started our life together. 

We were married for 19 years. Together we had three of the most beautiful, kind, loving children that a parent can ask for; Alexandra, Duane and Katherine. Our marriage may not have been perfect, but Neal gave me my children. Through all of the ups and downs, for this, I will always be glad and I will always be grateful to have met and married Neal. 

Neal loved his children. I pray that he continues to watch after them. I know that even though Duane will not get to see his father everyday like he used to, he will be right by his side, even closer now than before. And although he was far away from his girls, Alexandra and Katherine, and could not see them everyday like he did Duane, I know that he will be with them everyday now. I am sad that our kids had to lose their father, but it warms my heart to know that they now have an Angel watching over and protecting them.

My dad and my dog Maximus. He would always say Maximus is my dog not his. But then would spoil him with treats or toys and always insist max liked spending time with him more then me. And would always call him over at night so he could sleep next to him.

Neal we miss you amigo. I still cant believe you are gone. I look at our last text message Sept 25th and I wish I had called you instead of text you to thank you for letting me borrow your camouflage chair to sleep baby Caleb. And tell you how much we appreciate you. If i could rewind time. Neal you were an awesome human being and definition of a real friend. Always was there to help out a friend without hesitation. When my car broke down you gave me a ride. When my son Cristian was sick last day of school you picked up his yearbook *tears* you were part of my family and you kept us united with all the planned gatherings, bbqs and camping trips. Thank you because you always showed up at the kids soccer games no matter if it was near Canada or  up the street you were there. When my sister or i couldnt take the kids to soccer practice you took them. You drove hours to make it to my younger sister college graduation and boys elementary graduation. Always saved the date and made it. We will miss your presence,  laughter and smile Neal, Rest in Paradise Amigo.
