Lorraine Phyllis Voyles, age 100 of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma passed away peacefully on October 31, 2018. Lorraine was born on August 16, 1918 in Chicago, Illinois. Lorraine attended and graduated from Steinmartz High School in 1936. After high school she started her career as a telephone operator in Chicago, then went on to nurses training and ended up assisting her husband, Claude, in building apartment buildings. When Lorraine wasn’t working she enjoyed spending time with her family, sewing, knitting and crocheting, square dancing, and playing the organ. She had three loving husbands, Vincent Anderson married nine years, Claude Fleming married 33 years, and Alvin Voyles married 8 years.
She is preceded in death by her daughter, Virginia Anderson, brothers Ted Foss and Howard Foss, and her parents Theodore and Ruth Foss. She is survived by her son Gerald Anderson (Marilyn Anderson), nephews Brad Foss and Ron Foss, nieces Nancy Riley and Marilyn Breeden. Grandchildren Brenda and Clay Larson, Cheryl and Rick Panchenko, and Tim and Crystal Anderson. Great-grandchildren Jessica and Matthew Burleson, Janae and Tony Simon, Kelsey and Jeff Hocking, Trent Anderson, Dominik, Mykkayla, and Alexandra Panchenko, Emmie Anderson, and Addie Anderson. Great-great-grandchildren Emery and Theodore Hocking, Beckett and Benton Burleson.
Services will be held at Purdy and Walters at Floral Hills November 12, 2018. Visitation starts at 10am, funeral service at 11am, and graveside service at 12pm.
