February 23, 1916 - June 10, 2011
Lois was born in Faulk County, South Dakota. A twin, she was a blue baby at birth; not immediately expected to survive. She sure fooled them by living a wonderful 95 years.
During WWII she worked for the State Department in Washington DC. There she met her future husband when she picked him up form the dance floot where he had fallen. They married on Flag Day 1946 in Forest Grove, Oregon. In 1957 Marty and Lois moved to Seattle; later moving to Bothell.
After retirement they became snow-birds in Yuma, Arizona where they had many firends and a lot of fun. Never being one to just sit around, Lois took up golf at age 70 even though her eye-sight was starting to fail. There wasn't much she couldn't do when she set her mind to it, digging out weeds and staining her deck at 92 even though she was "blind in one eye and can't see out of the other." she never lost her sense of humor.
Preceded in death by her husband, Martin; parents Ray and Elizabeth; brothers Merle (Hazel) and twin Lowell (Alice); and son-in-law Martin.
Survived by daughters Marcy, Michelle (Todd); grandchildren Brian (Brianna), Vicki (Mike), Bridget (Moustafa), Ryan (Kumi), Casey, and Kaitlin; great-grandchildren Gavin, Hailey, Sumiah, Summer, and Zackary.
The family would like to thank the staff at Vineyard park in Bothell and Group Health Hospice for their wonderful care.
Arrangements under the direction of Purdy & Walters at Floral Hills, Lynnwood, WA.
