Linda Dianne Hansen

Linda ‘Lindy’ Dianne Hansen (Snowden) passed away on May 24, 2023 in Mill Creek, Washington at the age of 82. Lindy was born on March 3, 1941 in Kearney, Nebraska to Eldridge ‘Buzz’ and Gladys (nee Olson) Snowden.

Lindy grew up in Kearney and Omaha, Nebraska attending Central High School in Omaha. Lindy met the love of her life, Jerry Hansen, at Kearney Teacher’s College (now University of Nebraska at Kearney).

Jerry and Lindy were married in 1961 in Kearney and would go on to have 3 children. After spending time in St. Louis, Milwaukee, and Chicago, Jerry and Lindy would settle their family in Lynnwood, Washington in 1977, where Lindy would live for the many years. Lindy was an elementary school para-educator and is well remembered for her sense of humor, love of Seattle and Nebraska sports, boundless love of her family and friends, and compassion.

Lindy is preceded in death by her husband Gerald ‘Jerry’ George Hansen and her parents. Lindy is survived by her siblings Susan ‘Susie’ Pastula, Dr. Daniel Snowden, and Terry Petersen; and her children and their spouses Lori and Edward Dunn, Mark and Christine Hansen, and Eric and Stacy Hansen; and her 8 grandchildren.

The family will be having a private burial service and asks that, in lieu of flowers, you can donate to the University Foundation at the University of Nebraska at Kearney in memory of Linda Dianne Hansen.
