Linda (Forrester) Gardner, 76, passed away peacefully on April 4, 2025, in Arlington, WA after a courageous battle with cancer. Linda was known for her warmth and kindness, touching the lives of everyone she met.
Linda was born on November 23rd in Logan Utah to (James) Bowers Forrester and Marie Larsen. Her parents instilled in her a strong sense of family values, which she carried throughout her life. She spent her childhood on the family farm in Smithfield, Utah, with her six brothers and sisters Jim, Ann, Judy, Lynn, Ned, Thad and David. She graduated from Sky View High School before marrying Robert H Gardner on June 15th, 1967, in the Logan Utah Temple. She then moved to Seattle, Washington when Bob was hired on at Boeing, where she built a loving home and community.
A loving and caring Mother, she raised six children in Bothell, Washington where she was active in her Church. She taught primary for many years instilling her creative and influential ways of teaching the Gospel to children. She also attended Girls Camp for many years, sharing her wonderful spirit of service and development with the up-and-coming generations. She also deeply loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and enjoyed attending events they took part in.
Her craft ability was well known, and many a house is adorned with cross stitch work that was always created with love and are cherished by all who received them. Easter was also a special occasion with home made Easter baskets and decorations
She is preceded in death by her parents, sister Judy, brothers Jim, Ned, and Thad. She is survived by her husband, Robert, children Jason (Brian), Marcie Cain, Darin (Emily), Stephanie (Jeff) Whatmore, Jeff (Amber) and Tyler as well as many loving grandchildren and great grandchildren, who continue to honor her memory.
Services will be held at Floral Hills at 409 Filbert Road, Lynnwood, WA 98036 on Wednesday, April 23rd at 1pm.

The family expresses deep gratitude to Alpha Home Health and Hospice and Fields Senior Living at Smokey Point for the compassionate care provided by the staff, who went above and beyond to ensure Linda’s comfort.
A funeral service for Linda will be held Wednesday, April 23, 2025 at 1:00 PM at Purdy & Walters at Floral Hills, 409 Filbert Road, Lynnwood, WA 98036, followed by a graveside service at 2:00 PM.
