Jennifer Hue Salo was born 15 February 1983 in Olongapo City, Republic of the Philippines and passed away 27 September 2017 after a brave battle with breast cancer. Following her father who worked in many locations for the US Navy, Jennifer was fortunate to see the world at a young age. Known to all her friends and family as Smileyface, Jennifer graduated from Kinnick High School, Yokosuka Naval Base, Japan in 2001. Jennifer attended FAU Florida Atlantic University and majored in Business Management. In 2007 Jennifer became a store manager for Skechers Shoes in Boca Raton and Orlando, Florida. After being diagnosed in 2014 she moved to Marysville, WA to live with her father until her passing in 2017. Active in sports, she ran many marathons and was especially proud of completing the Reebok Spartan Race and obstacle course in November 2016. Loved and cherished by all who knew her, she will be deeply missed by family and friends. Jennifer is survived by her mother, Hue Salo of Boynton Beach, Florida, father, Dennis Salo of Marysville, WA, sister, Diana of New York, NY, and brothers, Erick Cao of Boynton Beach, Florida and Lee Haywood of Portland, Oregon.
