Harry joined the Navy reserves in 1952, then enlisted into the Navy in 1956. During this time, he was in the Light Photography Squadron. The jobs he performed were Parachute Rigger and Oxygen System Tester. He was honorably discharged in December 1958.
Harry and Ruth Etta Pruett were married in Seattle on October 1st, 1954. Ruth and Harry raised three children, Russ, Anita, and Darryl.
Harry worked at National garage in downtown Seattle until he started working at the Northern Life Tower garage in 1966. He worked there for 33 years and retired in 1999.
Harry enjoyed watching football and baseball. In his earlier years, he was an avid hunter and fishermen; he enjoyed flying kites, and clamming. Harry and Ruth went on several motorcycle rides with family across Washington, Canada, and Oregon.
Harry was preceded in death by both of his parents, six of his siblings, and his daughter Anita. He is survived by his wife Ruth, sons Russ (Debbie) Patrick, and Darryl (Karen) Patrick, and son-in-law Roger Bonner, five grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren. Brothers, Floyd and Charlie. Sisters, Clara (Phil) Stewart, Rachel (Roy) Fulton, Becky (John) Burton.
A Celebration of Life Ceremony will be held at Venture Church, 14616 35th Ave. SE, Mill Creek, WA 98012 on Wednesday, February 23rd. Viewing at 10:00-10:45, Service begins at 11:00am.
A Graveside Service will be held at Purdy & Walters at Floral Hills, 409 Filbert Rd. in Lynnwood, WA 98036 on Wednesday, February 23rd at 2:00pm.
