Gene Hovis, 70, of Edmonds, Wash. died April 21, 2016. Gene was born and raised in Yakima, Washington. After serving proudly in the U.S. Army, during Vietnam, he relocated to the Seattle, Wash. area, where he spent the rest of his life. He was a great man, and was loved and respected by those who knew him. He is survived by his mother; his devoted wife; three loving sons, four beautiful grandchildren, and countless other family and friends. A memorial service will be held in his honor, on Saturday April 30, 2016, at 2 p.m. at Purdy & Walters at Floral Hills, 409 Filbert Road, Lynnwood, WA.
