Elizabeth Dean

She was born on May 16, 1939, in Village Dilawarpur, near Shahjahanpur, Uttar Pradesh, India. She was the only daughter of Late Mr. Bhuri Singh and Mrs. Shayama Singh and she had an older sibling Late Mr. Shivraj Singh. She married her husband Late Rev. Daniel U. Dean in Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh on December 22, 1958. She was born and raised in a Hindu Rajput Family but later converted to Christianity before her marriage and accepted Lord Jesus Christ as her saviour and was baptized. Her birth name was Sundri Singh. Her legal name was changed to Elizabeth Dean by her husband after she married. She is survived by her daughter Vinita Lochan and three sons Victor Dean, William Dean, Wilson Dean, their spouses and twelve grandchildren.

She attended theological college with her husband in Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh, and served in the women's Bible Ministry in the Methodist Church with her husband who served as a Methodist Pastor for nearly thirty years in India. She was a very strong believer of Jesus Christ who stood steadfast in her belief until the day she started her eternal heavenly journey with our Lord Jesus Christ, devoid of any sorrow, suffering and grief.

She and her late husband, Rev. Daniel U. Dean travelled to Germany before permanently migrating to the United States in 1997 to live with their children. In 2003, her husband passed away, but she became stronger in her faith and belief in Christ. She had a unique way of praying and remembered everyone in her daily prayers. She supported her husband in ministry work with utmost dedication and hardwork prevailing upon all hardships. She was an ardent believer, a great loving wife, a very strong mother who raised four children with her husband and gave them the best of their ability. All her children are richly blessed because of their hardwork and dedication.

She will be remembered as a great servant of God who worked selflessly to uplift the glory and mighty name of our Lord Jesus Christ. Her legacy will always be remembered by her family and loved ones.
