Charles W. Strange

93 years old, Charles was born on Oct 2, 1921 in Kansas City, MO and died Nov 21, 2014 in Everett, WA. He had attended Eldon High School in Eldon, MO and served in the US Army during World War II, receiving a Good Conduct Medal and the Asiatic Pacific Theater Service Medal. Charles had worked as a Supervisor/Inspector for the Boeing Company for 33 years, retiring in 1981. He was a 32nd Degree Mason (Sunflower Lodge, Wichita, KS); Shriners (Nile Temple); Scottish Rite and Amaranth. He had enjoyed fishing, traveling, boating and camping. He married Joanna Brandt on March 10, 1941 in Rolla, MO. Charles was preceded in death by his parents; Charley J. Strange and Maude Margaret Strange; daughter; Barbara Palmer; son-in-law; David Palmer. He is survived by his wife; Joanna Strange, Everett, WA, daughter; Elena (Jim) Dunakin, Tonasket, WA, 4 grandchildren; Shawn (Cherle) Poteet, Monroe, WA, Todd (Julie) Poteet, Bow, WA, Laura Palmer, Dallas, TX and Leigh Dumont, Marshall, MI, 8 Great Grandchildren and 7 Great Great Grandchildren. Viewing will be on Tuesday, Nov 25th from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM at Purdy & Walters at Floral Hills FH 409 Filbert Rd, Lynnwood, WA with Funeral Services on Wednesday, Nov 26th at 11:00 AM also at the funeral Home with entombment at Floral Hills Cemetery following. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Disabled American Veterans.
