Carol Jean MacBean

Carol was born to Ches and Ruby McCurry of Fall City, Washington on October 30, 1940. Carol attended and graduated from Mt. Si High School in 1958. After high school Carol entered the work force until she met her future husband Don, and they were married in 1964 and had two children, David and Timothy.

After spending many years raising her children she re-entered the work force working as a waitress at The Dynasties Restaurant in Federal Way, Washington for 15 years where she made many friends with co-workers and regular customers. After the restaurant she went to work for 10 years in the shipping industry in Kent, Washington.

When she was not working Carol enjoyed spending time entertaining, cooking, sewing & knitting, and restoring furniture to decorate their cabin on Harstine Island in Mason County. In addition to spending time at the cabin she enjoyed traveling or cruising and visited many Western and Northern European countries, as well as Australia, Indonesia, Africa, Russia, and China.

In 2000 her first grandchild Benjamin was born followed by granddaughter Elisa in 2002. In 2006 Carol suffered a brain aneurysm as well as other health issues, but she continued to enjoy meaningful time with family and friends until her passing.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Patricia, and brothers John, James, and Rick McCurry. She is survived by her husband Don, sons Timothy (Julie) and David (Shaela), and her grandchildren. A Celebration of Life Ceremony will be held at Northlake Christian Church, 19029 North Rd, Bothell WA 98012 beginning at 1:00pm.
