Amelia Annie Johnson, 83, of Everett, Washington died peacefully on August 16, 2015. Born November 14, 1931 in Widdington, England. She was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred George Mills Salmon and Catherine Mary (Ellis) Salmon, her late husband of 38 years, Richard L. Johnson and baby son Barry J. Johnson.
Amelia married Richard in St. Mary’s Church, Childwick Green, England on February 11, 1956 then moved with Richard and son, Kevin, to the United States eventually settling in Alderwood Manor, WA, where Amelia was a full time mother and homemaker. In 1974, Richard and Amelia opened Arjays Studio in Lynnwood, WA.
Amelia’s later years were filled with hobbies and music. Amelia’s love of knitting kept her busy when she wasn’t tending to her gardens. Music was her constant companion with Sarah Brightman and Daniel O’Donnell being among her favorites.
Amelia’s survivors include four children; Kevin L. Johnson, Heather A. (Johnson) Smith and husband Robert, Eugene M. Johnson and wife Barbara, Lyle W. Johnson; nine grandchildren, Adam R. Smith, Charlotte A. (Smith)
Blanchett, Emily M. (Smith) Price, Megan N. Johnson, Brandon M. Johnson, Lauren S. Johnson, Amanda A. (Johnson) Naslund, Autumn M. Owens, and Andrew R.G. Johnson; four great-grandchildren, Chloe A. and Madison R.
Blanchett, Arilynn A. and Emaleah R. Naslund; and her older sister Gladys D. (Salmon) Larson.
Memorial Services to be held at noon, August 30th at Purdy and Walters at Floral Hills, 409 Filbert Road, Lynnwood, WA.
