Winifred Ellen Kelley Turkewich

Winifred was born in Lynn, daughter of the late George H. and Winifred G. (Ryan) Kelley. She was a lifelong resident of the city and was a graduate of Lynn Classical High School.

Winifred worked at Union Hospital as the Assistant Supervisor of the Medical Records Department for over 20 years until her retirement.

Here true devotion was spending time with her family especially her time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved having her family over especially during the holidays.

She was the beloved mother to Donald J. Turkewich, Jr. of Peabody. She was the grandmother of Marie Favaloro of Littleton, NH, Melissa Burke of Dade City, FL, Nicole Favaloro of Brooksville, FL and Krista Favaloro of Ruskin, FL. She was the great grandmother to Anna and Evan Burke of Dade City, FL. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews including Kathleen and Colleen Kelley of Laconia, NH, a grandnephew Gunnar Hildebrand of Laconia, NH and several cousins.

She was the mother of the late Janie E. Turkewich-Favaloro and sister of the late George D. Kelley and Eleanor Sturm.

Winifred’s Funeral Service will be in the Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home 157 Maple St. Lynn, Monday at 12:00 noon. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visitation period will be Monday from 10:00 AM. Interment will be in Pine Grove Cemetery.
