Thomas "Leo" Connolly

Leo was the beloved husband of Francine (Dumont) Connolly, of Peabody, with whom he

shared 61 years of marriage. Leo worked as a meat cutter and manager at Purity Supreme for

many years prior to his retirement. Born and educated in Lynn, Leo was the son of the late

Thomas J. and Mary (Broughton) Connolly. He was a graduate of St. Patrick’s Grammar School

in Lynn and of BC High in Boston with the Class of 1952.

Leo was the father of Thomas L. Connolly, Jr., Kathleen M. Connolly, both of Peabody, Linda

Connolly and Joan Connolly, both of Lynn; the grandfather of 12 grandchildren, 5 great

grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Leo was an avid sports fan. He played baseball and basketball in high school and softball in the Lynn

Park league as an adult. Leo also enjoyed watching football and discussing stats with his

friends through the years. He also enjoyed all genres of music and cooking in his later years.

Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, February 11 th , from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the

CUFFE-MCGINN FUNERAL HOME, 157 Maple St. Lynn, followed by a funeral service at 3:00 p.m.

in the funeral home. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Leo’s
