Theresa A. Atkinson

Born in Lynn, she was the daughter of the late Leon J. and Dorothy E. (Nowell) Davis.

She worked as a nurse for Partners HealthCare now Mass General Brigham.

Theresa was a longtime communicant of Sacred Heart Church, and was formerly a Sunday School Teacher.

She loved giraffes and unicorns, but she especially loved her family. She was the glue that kept the family together. She told her family that they can feel any emotion except guilt.

Theresa was the mother Melissa Atkinson of Lynn and Katherine Doyle and her husband Ryan of Malden. Sister of Michael Davis of Lynn, William Davis of Cambridge, Christopher Davis and his wife Dawn of Lynn and Dolores Bresnahan of Lynn. Grammy to her five grandchildren, and also leaves many nieces and nephews.

A Visitation will be held on Friday, August 19, 2022 from 10AM to 11AM in the Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home, 157 Maple Street, Lynn, followed by a Funeral Service at 11AM. Burial in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Mass. General Cancer Research Center, 55 Fruit Street, Boston, MA 02114.
