Ruth was a graduate of Lynn Classical High School and attended Burdette College and The American Institute of Banking. She retired from the former Essexbank as an Assistant Treasurer and Manager at their Swampscott Humphrey Street office.
She was the oldest member of former Broadway United Methodist Church where she served in many capacities and on many committees. Ruth was an active member of the United Methodist Women, Methodist Historical Society, the Morse Society and former Swampscott Women’s Club.
She leaves a daughter Priscilla A. Rando; a son Douglas N. Clinch and his wife Cheryl A.; her grandchildren Karin E. and Cynthia M. Rando, Dianna M. Thomas, Valerie K. and Allison C. Clinch and twin great-granddaughters Clara and Ruby Thomas, and her great-grandson Daniel Rando. Ruth is predeceased by her son-in-law Charles Rando and her brother H. Clifton Morse.
Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, January 16th from 3 PM to 7 PM at the Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home, 157 Maple Street, Lynn. Her funeral service will be at Grace United Methodist Church, Lynn on Friday, January 17th at 10:30 AM. Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery, Saugus. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Grace United Methodist Church Memorial Fund, 374 Broadway, Lynn MA 01904.
