Roger B. Canney Jr.

Roger B. Canney, Jr. 52 of Lynn passed away on Friday, December 4, 2015 in his home. Born in Seattle, WA, he was the son of Angela (Cross) Canney and the late Roger B. Canney Sr. He was the loving brother of Vincent Canney of Dedham, Paula Galatis and her husband, Mark of NH, and Karin Hudson and her husband, Scott of NC as well as the late Marc A. Canney. He also leaves his nieces, Emily and Elizabeth of NH and, his nephews Joshua and Jason of NC. He was the cherished nephew of Donna Bare and her husband, William of NC, Fran Rhine and her husband Robert of WI, Deborah Donegan of TX, Thomas Donegan of FL, Paul Canney and his wife Carol of OH and the late Roberta Gibbons and Gerard and Loring Canney. Roger was the dear grandson of the late Laura and Robert Canney and Geraldine Leonard. He also leaves numerous cousins. Roger graduated from Lynn Vocational Technical Institute in 1981. After graduation, he entered into the US Army and went to Germany after boot camp from 1982 to 1984. Roger was an auto mechanic and also worked on trucks. He also really loved trying to figure out what was wrong. He had many friends that would bring their cars for him to look at and fix. He worked for American Trucking and Lynn, Taxi, both of Lynn. Roger enjoyed filling his mind with nostalgia. He was always listening to the History and Discovery channels and any informative channel. He also enjoyed surfing the internet to increase his knowledge of everything he could. Visitation will be held in the CUFFE-McGINN Funeral Home, 157 Maple St. LYNN on Saturday, December 12, 2015 from 1 to 4 PM. All other services will be held privately.
