Robin J. Huston, 49, resident of Lynn, passed away surrounded by loved one on November 7, 2019 at Salem Hospital. She was the beloved daughter to her parents, the late Johnny Lee and Ardenia (Davis) Huston. She was the cherished wife of Bamidele Gbadamosi, with whom she shared 3 years of marriage.
Robin Jeanine Huston was born February 15, 1970 to Brother Johnny and Mother Ardenia Huston. In 1969, her Parents moved to Jamaica NY and converted from Baptist to Apostolic Faith, they join Zion Gospel Church where they received the gift of the Holy Ghost and after this Robin was born. In 1976, Robin was very sick and was rushed to the hospital because she had stopped breathing.
The Man of God Elder Scott prayed for her and she came back to us, this is when the Holy Ghost fell upon her and she spoke in tongues as the spirit of God gave utterance. She lived in NY with her family until she moved to Dorchester MA in 1984. Robin joined Imani Temple Church of God in Christ in 1985. She was a member of the deacon board and was a member of the choir. She was also faithful in giving back to God until the end.
At the age of 16 years, she started working at Stop N Shop in Lynn MA. In addition, had various jobs until 1990 when she went back to school got her diploma and received a degree in Data entry. She worked for an insurance company for a few years. She left the insurance CO. applied for a position with the state of MA. To care for mentally challenged adults, she had to take a physical test that required her to run and jump which was hard for Robin because of her lung issues, so she failed the test the first time. She really wanted this position so she and Mother Huston PRAYED the prayer of Faith. After the prayer, Mother Huston told her daughter, YOU WILL PASS THIS PHYSICAL and she did. She started working for the state of MA in 1995 at the Department of Developmental Services as their Direct Care Staff and worked up until God called her home.
Robin also was an entrepreneur. Her businesses extended to textiles, body essentials and fresh produce.
A few months back Robin health started to fail, three of her sisters Shawn, Kimberly, and Veronica all started helping her out more. Shawn was her housekeeper and often cooked for her when Shawn could not help her, Kimberly and her son Cayheem was there up until the end.
Robin’s sister Veronica drove back and forth from NY to help her sister whenever she can. Robin knew God was calling her home and before she left, her wish was to see her nephew Jaquaan one last time. On November 2, 2019 is when she took a turn for the worst. Kimberly, her husband, and Jalisa were at the hospital with her and Kimberly heard their mother's voice say Robin is coming home.
Robin had a HEART OF GOLD; it did not matter what you did to her if she loved you, whatever she had, she gave it if you needed it. The scripture says "it's more a blessing to give than receive", this was Robin's life and I know she is welcomed in heaven; her parents are waiting for her.
Robin was a loving wife, good-at-heart, nice, sweet, hard-working, overly positive minded and jovial person; She was a good, happy, strong person to be with….will be greatly missed. I cannot put into words of how much of amazing of a woman she was no matter who you were she was the best and nicest person I have ever met in my life.
She lived an amazing life, despite her sickness she never wanted to be known as that type of woman, she never gave up on anything no matter what. She is free of pain, her parents wanted her and God proves he only takes the best and I am sure Robin is saying this right now “Don’t cry for me today, I’m on my way, I have my wings now as am dancing through the sky, I am watching over all of you each and every single day”
