It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Robert “Bob” Sheehan who died on Monday, May 30, 2022 after several years of fighting Parkinson’s Disease. Robert Sheehan was born in Lynn to the late Francis and Irene (Belliveau) Sheehan on April 20, 1938.
Bob graduated from Lynn English High School and was a member of the golf team. He then enlisted in the Air Force where he worked as an Air Traffic Controller. Following his service, he was a successful car salesman in Lynnfield. He attended Merrimack College and then worked for many years for various Department of Defense contractors as a mechanical inspector. Bob loved Florida and was a snowbird there for many years with his partner Colleen Gallo, as they followed the fortunes of the Red Sox.
He is survived by his four children: Michele and her husband Bob Wolfe of Hampstead, N.H., Patricia Quinn of Boynton Beach, FL., Robert and wife Lisa (Ferrari) Sheehan of Salem, and Maura and husband Dan Morden of St. Augustine, Fl. He also leaves his twin brother Thomas Sheehan and twin sisters Jane Sheehan and Ann Sim as well as nine grandchildren. He also leaves many loved nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed.
Friends and family are invited to attend Bob’s visitation on Monday, June 6, 2022 at the Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home, 157 Maple Street, Lynn, from 9:00 to 11:00 AM. A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:30 AM at St. Pius V Church, 215 Maple Street, Lynn. Burial will follow at St. Mary Cemetery, Lynn. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Bob’s memory to the Parkinson’s Foundation, www.parkinson.org.
