Richard A. Neary

He was the beloved husband of Kathleen (Richard) Neary, with whom he shared over 37 wonderful years of marriage.

Born in Lynn, MA on September 12, 1958, he was a son of Anne F. (Saulnier) Neary, and the late Leo S. Neary. After moving to Peabody and graduating from Peabody Vocational High School, Richard built a career in the printing industry. He proudly worked for Daniels Printing Company in Everett, MA for many years, citing his time at Daniels as the highlight of his working years. Richard would later work for S.T. Associates in Danvers as well as Greater Lynn Senior Services (GLSS).

Richard loved spending his summers and fall weekends camping in Maine with his wife and son. He was also an avid genealogist and enjoyed discovering famous relatives on his family tree. Richard adored his cats Callie and Tigger, even teaching them how to fetch. Above all else, Richard loved his family. Following his own father’s passing, Richard was always there for anyone who needed him. His loving nature and quick Irish wit will not soon be forgotten.

In addition to his caring wife and dear mother, Richard is survived by his son, Ryan Neary and his partner Ricky Lurie of New York City; his siblings, Margaret LaBrecque and her husband Henry of Peabody, John Neary and his significant other Terri Iovine of Tewksbury, and his lovable younger brother Ted Neary and his wife Kristen of Peabody; his brothers-in-law, Daniel Richard and his wife Ruth of North Carolina, and Roger Richard of Lynn, as well as many cherished nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Richard was the son-in-law of the late Tilmon and Claire (Saulnier) Richard.

Arrangements: Friends and family are invited to call at the Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home, 157 Maple St., on Friday, June 11th from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. His Funeral Service will be held in the Funeral Home on Saturday, June 12th at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody.
