Born in Eliot, Maine, she was the daughter of the late Maynard and Marjorie (Fernald) Douglas. She graduated from Eliot High School and then attended McIntosh College, Dover, NH. She lived in Lynn since 1943.
She enjoyed gardening, walking, music, ballroom and line dancing, and chocolate ice cream. She was an early baby sitter for grandchildren Stephen and Holly.
She was an active member of the former St. Paul’s Methodist Church, Lynn.
She leaves two sons Calvin Perham and his fine companion Marcie Rowland of Lynn, and Roger Perham and his wife Ruth of South Hamilton, a daughter Nancy Hollis and her husband David of Haverhill, a brother Dwight Douglas and his wife Betty of Avon, CT, a sister Susan Fleming and her late husband Donald of Needham, 6 grandchildren Stephen Perham, Holly Losano, Michael Perham, Margery Pelletier, John Hollis and Laura Hollis, 4 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Jean Hilt.
The family would like to thank Grosvenor Park for their wonderful care and activities that she enjoyed so much.
Her funeral Service will be held on Friday at 11AM in the Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home 157 Maple Street, Lynn. Burial in Pine Grove Cemetery, Lynn. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. Visiting hours Thursday, April 14th from 4-7 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Alzheimer’s Association, 311 Arsenal Street, Watertown, MA 02472.
