Paul E. Legere, age 65 of Alton NH, formerly of Lynn, passed away after a 2-year battle with cancer on June 2, 2022. He was the beloved husband of Joanne ”Joni” (McCormick) Legere with whom he shared 35 years of marriage.
Paul was born and raised in Lynn, MA, and graduated from Lynn English High School class of 75. He raised his children in Swampscott and retired to Alton in 2018. In addition to being a skilled mason, he was in Construction with the Massachusetts Laborers Union for over 35 years.
In addition to his wife, Paul leaves behind two children of whom he was immensely proud, Lindsey Batstone and her husband Adam, Trevor Legere and his wife Ashley. He sadly leaves his precious grandson Owen Batstone. Paul also leaves behind his siblings, Michael and his wife Cathy, Denise Clifford, Judy Lozier and her husband Mark, Patti Vo and her husband Van, Nancy Deady and her husband Kevin, Donna Legere, Kathy Crowley and her husband Joe, Ann Bright and her husband John and Laurie Bogart. Mother-In-Law Elaine McCormick Bellone, Sister-in-law Patty Potter and her husband Glenn, Brothers in laws David and James McCormick, and many nieces and nephews, aunts, cousins and many dear friends. Predeceased by his parents Rita and Joseph Legere and siblings Joseph, John and Sharon Legere and also son-in-law of Ernest L. McCormick.
Paul's true passion was his Harley Davidson that he made many amazing trips with his friends, his fondest was his trip to Sturgis he made right before he was diagnosed with Cancer. His other loves were camping, fishing, golf and spending quality time with his family and friends. Paul was truly blessed with lifelong loyal friends and a strong loving family.
A visitation for Paul will be held at the Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home, 157 Maple Street, Lynn, on Wednesday, June 8, 2022 from 9 a.m. - 12 p.m. Followed by a funeral service. Burial will be held at Pine Grove Cemetery, Lynn.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Wentworth-Douglas Foundation 789 Central Avenue Dover NH 03820; where Paul was embraced and cared for by a team of wonderful and compassionate nurses and doctors at Seacoast Cancer Center.
