Patricia McCaffrey

Beloved wife of David J. McCaffrey for over 53 years. Devoted mother of Maureen Hickey and her husband Daniel, Deirdre Lopez and her husband Dave, Sarah Downey and her husband Kevin and David McCaffrey and his wife Lindsay. Cherished grandmother of Emma, Erich and Michael Hickey, Benjamin, Gloria and Natalie Lopez, Noah and Lucas Downey and Evan McCaffrey. Lifelong friend and confidant of Lee Webster. Loving sister of Douglas Waters. Dear daughter of the late John (Soapy) Waters and Doris (Waitt) Waters.

Patricia grew up and lived her entire life in Lynn, graduated from Lynn English High School, class of 1960, and raised her family in Pine Hill. Her house was always full as she welcomed all the neighborhood kids and treated them like her own.

She worked for the Social Security Administration as a Claims Representative for many years.

She cherished her time spent with family and friends. She loved to have a good time, a glass of wine and plenty of laughs. She spent much of her life watching her children and then her grandchildren playing sports.

Visiting Hours for Patricia will be held on Friday, February 11th from 3pm to 6pm, followed by a prayer service at 6pm at the Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home, 157 Maple St. Lynn. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in her memory to Massachusetts Down Syndrome Congress
