Norma J. (Coco) Melanson

Norma was born January 12, 1934 in Omaha, Nebraska. She is the daughter of the late Jack and Maxine (King) Coco. She grew up in Nebraska and graduated from Central High School in Omaha. She has resided in Lynn for many years.

Norma worked for the City of Lynn as a Clerk in the Election office for many years until her retirement.

Norma enjoyed cooking, bowling and entertaining her friends and family as well as traveling. She will be fondly remembered for her sense of humor.

She is survived by her children Richard P. Melanson and his wife Kathy of Lynn, Jack Melanson of Saugus and Lisa Anderson and her husband Robert of Lynn, her sister Kathy Wieczorek of Omaha, NE, her grandchildren Lauren Melanson, Kerri Peterson, Lindsey Robert, Erica Anderson, Zachary Melanson and Benjamin Melanson. She is also survived by her great grandchildren Jake, Aidan and Anderson as well as many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her loving husband Joseph and her parents, Norma is predeceased by her son Joseph Melanson and her grandson Tony Melanson.

Norma’s visiting hours will be in the Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home, 157 Maple St. Lynn on Thursday, May 23, 2019 from 4-7 PM. Her Funeral Service will be in the Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home on Friday, May 24, 2019 at 12:00 noon. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. Interment will be in St. Jean’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations in Norma’s name may be made to the Northeast Animal Shelter 347 Highland Ave Salem, MA 01970 or via website below.
