Nancy C. Anderson

LYNN – Nancy Carol (Curtis) Anderson, age 89, a longtime resident of Lynn, passed away on Sunday, June 10th. She was the beloved wife of the late Warren H. Anderson with whom she shared over 57 years of marriage.

Born in Gilead, Maine, she was the daughter of the late Ernest B. and Mary (Arenburg) Curtis. She graduated from Haverhill, NH High School. She was an active member of Bethany Congregational Church and also served as past President of the Ladies’ Guild.

Nancy was a tirelessly loving and caring friend, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Her final days were a wonderful testament to her strength and never-failing faith. She was the mother of Susan Anderson of Millsboro, DE, Sally Wakeham and her husband, Stephen, and Cindy Winslow and her husband, Stephen, all of Lynn; the cherished grandmother of Andrew Atkins and his wife, Barbara of Delaware, Melissa Marino and her husband, Matthew of Beverly, Amy Kuhlman and her husband, Brett of Delaware, Dr. Joshua Wakeham and his wife, Brikena of Alabama, Erin Wakeham and her wife, Jennifer of New Hampshire, Megan Lynch of Lynn and William Lynch of Revere; the great-grandmother of 12 great-grandchildren; the dear sister of Ruth Doyle of Woodstock, VT and the late Priscilla Mayberry, Norman Curtis, Marjorie Anderson, Phyllis Locke and Robert Curtis; and the aunt of several loving nieces and nephews.

Nancy’s funeral will be held on Friday, June 15th, at 11:00 a.m. at the CUFFE-McGINN Funeral Home, 157 Maple Street, Lynn. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Lynn. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, June 14th from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers contributions in Nancy’s memory may be made to the Residents’ Activities Fund, Life Care Center of the North Shore, 111 Birch St., Lynn, MA 01902 or to Bethany Congregational Church, 410 Eastern Ave, Lynn, MA 01902.
