Max J. Loehle, a long-time resident of Lynn passed away in his home on Saturday, July 1, 2017 at the age of 89. Born in Manhattan, NY on April 4, 1928, he was the son of the late Max and Johanna (Heisler) Loehle. Max was raised and educated in Manhattan, NY, earned his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Pratt Institute. He was employed as an engineer at GE for 39 years, 36 of which were in Lynn where he authored several patents. On October 9, 1954, Max married his devoted wife, Renee (Ackermann) of Brooklyn. Max was a long-time member of the First Congregational Church of Lynn. He enjoyed the outdoors, sailing, working on his home, and most of all, spending time with his loving family.
In addition to his wife, Renee Loehle of Lynn, Max leaves his sons; David W. Loehle and his wife, Diane of Georgetown and Kenneth A. Loehle and his girlfriend, Maryjo Randell of Lynn and Worcester, MA. Max also leaves his grandchildren; Eric, Matthew, and Kathryn Loehle, all of Georgetown, MA.
A Funeral Service will be held in the Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home, 157 Maple St. Lynn on Wednesday, July 5, 2017 at 5:30 pm. Visiting Hours will be held prior to the service from 3 to 5:30 pm. Private interment service will be held Friday. Memorial gifts in Max’s memory can be made to the charity of your choice.
