Marie Solange Montero

Born in Savanette, Haiti, she was the daughter of the late Ramille Montero and Adulca Gabriel-Chevry Montero. She came to this country in 1970 and settled in New York City. She came to Lynn in 2008.

She was a communicant of St. Mary’s Church and was devoted to her faith. Marie Solange was a happy person and enjoyed life. Family was important to her and she remained attached to her family and friends in her hometown of Savanette, Haiti.

She leaves her children, Gessy, Kettly, Marise, Emmanuel, James, Sorina Prophete and Patrick C. Montero, her siblings Luc-André, Phillipe, Fanny, Bernadette and Regina, her grandchildren Gessica, Kettlynn, Ketriel, Maxime, Ramelle, Kathyana, Gaelle, Starjé, Tyrese and, Emma and her great-granddaughter Taniyah, and many nieces and nephews including Eunide, Netty, Farrah, Emmanuelle, Elizabeth, Jean-Marc, Roselys and Jocelyn, and many cousins, specially her cousin and best friend Mariette Pervy.

The funeral will be held on Saturday at 9:30 AM from the CUFFE-MCGINN FUNERAL HOME 157 Maple Street, Lynn. Funeral Mass in St. Mary’s Church at 10:30 AM. Burial in Pine Grove Cemetery. Visiting hours Friday 4-8 PM. The family prefers donations in her memory be made to Hospice of the North Shore, 75 Sylvan Street, Danvers 01923, or to “Coalition de Savanette” “C.O.S.A.N.I” 18-32 East 52nd St, Brooklyn NY 11234.
