Lorraine Ann Zollo

Lorraine A. Zollo, age 86 passed away on Sunday, October, 1, 2023 at Massachusetts General Hospital. Lorraine was a beautiful, spiritual and generous person. She had a love for her family that was greater than life. Her greatest joy was caring for her home and garden. She was the beloved wife of Dr. Robert W. Zollo, Sr. for over 60 years. She was the proud mother of son Robert W. Zollo, Jr. and his wife Kim of Lynn, MA and much loved “Grammy” of Ryan and Brendan, both attending Merrimack College, they were her super stars. She was the cherished mother and best friend of daughter, Susan E. Zollo-Stillman and her husband Adam of Boston, MA. She was the daughter of the late George and Madeline (Hubbard) Lizotte. She was predeceased by brothers George, and Norman and sister Eleanor Kelly.

Lorraine had a great sense of adventure, she loved to travel and explore, and enjoyed trips to Italy, France, UK and throughout the United States and the Caribbean. Her favorite place was Williamsburg, VA, where Lorraine takes with her great memories of many family vacations with her loved ones and a great love for Nantucket Island. Lorraine enjoyed theater, was an avid reader whose love for books ran vast and wide. Lorraine was fun, with a quick witty sense of humor.

Lorraine managed Multiple Myeloma for over 28 years. She faced challenge and adversity with a positive attitude and carried herself with determination and dignity and grace. She was a heroine to all who knew her. She was the bright inspirational light of her family and will be missed every single day.

Friends and family are invited to Lorriane’s visitation on Thursday, October 5, 2023 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home, 157 Maple Street, Lynn. Her Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, October 6, 2023 at 10:00 AM at St. Pius V Church, 215 Maple Street, Lynn. Burial will follow in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation or the American Cancer Lukemia & Lymphoma Society.
