Leonard D. Legere, age 54, of Revere, passed away on Thursday, September 7, 2023. He was the husband of Heather (Brown) Legere with whom he shared 22 years of marriage. Born in Lynn, Lenny was the son of Leonard A. “Lenny” and the late Janet (Chiaradonna) Legere.
Lenny was the devoted father of Parker Legere, brother of Craig Legere and Michelle Legere and her husband Kerry Reitz, uncle to Douglas Legere, Kaiden, Sawyer and Natasha Reitz.
Lenny grew up in Lynn learning the auto body/painting trade from his father Lenny, owner of Legere’s Auto Body on Green Street. During his younger years, the family spent time touring the country with the ISCA (International Show Car Association) showing their custom project car, a 1971 AMC Javelin known as “The Mistress” which Len Sr. used to teach Lenny and his brother Craig how to build a custom car. The car won several prestigious awards including “National Champion” in the custom category and it also won the 2012 Gene Winfield Award at the Syracuse Nationals. Showing the car on the ISCA circuit with his family was a great source of pride for Lenny, he often spoke fondly of that time spending time with family and friends he made along the way.
Lenny’s favorite pastimes included spending time with his friends, boating at Lake Winnipesaukee, snowmobiling, listening to music, and being with his family.
A Celebration of Life will be celebrated on Saturday, September 30, 2023 at 12:00 pm at Saint Mary Church, 94 Andover Street, Georgetown, MA.
