Kevin T. Fogarty

LYNN- Kevin Thomas Fogarty, 59, of Lynn, MA, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, March 21, 2019 at home. Kevin was the devoted husband of Ann (Cashman) Fogarty with whom he shared 33 years of marriage.

Born in Lynn, Kevin was the beloved son of Thomas E. Fogarty of Lynn and the late Ave A. (Myers) Fogarty and the son-in-law of the late George and Marian Cashman. Kevin was the dear brother of Keith Fogarty and his wife, Bea of Norwood, Brian Fogarty and his wife, Phyllis of Georgetown, Terence Fogarty and his wife, Sharon of Lynn, Reneé McLaughlin and her husband, Michael of Georgetown and Christopher Fogarty and his wife, Heather of Peabody; the brother-in-law of Dale Curran of Palm Coast, FL and Dennis Cashman and his wife, Barbie of Peabody; the adored uncle of Ellen Wall and her husband, Tom, John, Jason, Erin, Meghan, Dylan, Brendan, Nicole, Sarah, and Thomas Fogarty and Daniel and Emily McLaughlin, Kristen Dillon, the late Allison Curran, and Christopher, Matthew, and Michael Cashman. He is also survived by several cousins.

Kevin graduated from Austin Preparatory School, Reading with the Class of 1978. He was a boiler man for the City of Lynn School Department for over 28 years until his retirement in 2014. Kevin was an avid and skilled pool player. He loved to be in the woods and surrounded by nature instead of being in the city. He loved traveling to the family’s cottage in Bridgton, Maine, which was one of his favorite spots to relax. On a warm summer night you might find him by a roaring fire down at the lake. Most of all, he loved spending as much time as he could with his beloved family and friends.

Visiting hours will be held at Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home, 157 Maple St. Lynn on Monday, March 25th from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, March 26, at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, Lynnfield. Burial will follow in Saint Mary’s Cemetery, Lynn.
