LYNN – John Joseph Silvonic, age 79, of Lynn, passed away suddenly, July 4th at Salem Hospital. Born on July 13th, 1938, in Lynn, he was the son of the late, John and Catherine (Gillis) Silvonic. He was the beloved husband of the late Joanne (Calvani) Silvonic with whom he shared 55 years of marriage.
John graduated from St. Mary’s High School in Lynn and served in the U.S. Army National Guard. He worked as a painter for the Lynn Housing Authority for many years prior to his retirement.
John was the devoted father of John Silvonic and his wife, Maureen of Wakefield, Joseph Silvonic and his wife, Laurie of Lynnfield, and Jodi Pierce and her husband, Paul of Haverhill; the cherished grandfather of Eddie Hoar and his wife, Jolette of Houston, TX, Alexandra and Gabrielle Silvonic, both of Lynnfield, Ryan Silvonic and his wife, Kelly of Billerica, Breanna Silvonic of Hudson and Kylie Silvonic of Woburn; the great grandfather of Lia Silvonic; the dear brother of Joe and James Silvonic, both of Lynn and Mary Silvonic of Taunton and the uncle of several nieces and nephews.
Services and burial were private and under the care of CUFFE-McGINN FUNERAL HOME, 157 Maple St. Lynn.
