

Joanne Marie (De’Pavolis Foglietta) Lyndon, 86, of Swampscott, passed away on Sunday, October 24, 2021. She was the beloved wife of the late Charles W. Lyndon for over 25 years and was later the beloved companion of the late Edward L. Geppner for 25 years.
Born January 16, 1935, in Swampscott, Joanne was predeceased by her parents, Geremia and Nicoletta (Pitzi) De’Pavolis Foglietta, and her brother, Eugene Foglietta, who was survived by his wife Elaine of Houston, Texas.
She was the cherished mother of William Lyndon and his wife, Mary Lee, of Plymouth, Lorraine Wall and her husband, Michael, of Newport, Rhode Island, James Lyndon and his late wife, Dr. Elizabeth Lincoln of Lakewood, Colorado, and Diane Byrne of North Chelmsford and the beloved grandmother of Matthew Wall, Lorraine Byrne, Aidan Byrne, Marisa Wall, Thomas Lyndon, Lisa Byrne, Eva Byrne, Caroline Lyndon and Sarah Lyndon.
Joanne was born and raised in Swampscott and graduated from Swampscott High School, later attending secretarial school in Boston. Although her career spanned many years working as a legal secretary at various firms in the Boston area, her primary focus was always on her family and loved ones. She is remembered as a kind and generous soul and a loving and caring wife, mother, and grandmother. She will be greatly missed.
Friends and family are invited to attend Joanne’s funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, November 27, 2021 at Holy Family Church, 21 Bessom Street, Lynn. Burial will follow at Swampscott Cemetery.
