Joan M Delaney

LYNN - A private funeral and birthday celebration for her new life in eternity was held for Mrs. Joan M. (Rossi) Delaney, age 85, of Lynn. Mrs. Delaney died on Wednesday, August 16th, at the Abbott House Nursing Home after a lengthy illness. She was the wife of the late James F. Delaney.

Born in Boston on August 17, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Alfred and Elsie (Iovanna) Rossi. She lived in Lynn for most of her life.

She supported Holy Family Church for many years. Joan loved her family very much.

She leaves a son, James F. Delaney, Jr. and his wife, Cheryl of Plaistow, NH, two daughters, Carol Patterson Hatch and her husband William “Freddy” Hatch of Lynn, and Cynthia Robichaud and her husband Michael Robichaud of Connecticut; two brothers, Gerald Gigliello and Dennis Nolen, both of California; two sisters Marlene Pennenatore of Winthrop and Carol Hanson of Nevada, nine grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
