Mrs. Joan M. (Woodbury) Beaulieu, of Lynn, passed away peacefully Monday, October 10, 2011 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers following a courageous battle fighting Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. She was the beloved wife of Daniel E. Beaulieu, with whom she shared 32 years of marriage.
Born in Lynn, Joan was the daughter of the late George E. and Elizabeth R. (O’Malley) Woodbury. She graduated from St Mary’s High School, attended Leslie University and was Past President of the Route 128 Chapter of Professional Secretaries International. For 17 years Joan worked for Osram Sylvania in Danvers. She retired as Lightpoint coordinator.
A loving wife and mother, her greatest joy in life was being with her three grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Joan leaves her two sons, Joseph B. Lewis and his wife Teresa of Walpole and John J. Lewis of Amesbury; brother, Michael Woodbury and his wife Donna of Exeter, NH; sister, Karen “Bunnie” Castaldo and her husband Edward of Saugus; grandchildren, Colin J. Lewis, Kristina M. Lewis, and Joseph M. Lewis; Beloved Father and Mother in-law George R. and Noella M. (Doiron) Beaulieu of Florida; and brother Donald F. Woodbury and his wife Mary Ann. She was predeceased by her brother David Sean Woodbury, and leaves behind many relatives and good friends.
Joan’s Funeral will be held from the CUFFE-MCGINN FUNERAL HOME, 157 Maple St. Lynn on Tuesday at 9:30 AM followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Pius V Church at 10:30 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. Visiting Hours are Monday 4-8 PM.
