Glen Allen Drabinowicz

Glen Allen Drabinowicz, 49 of Lynn, passed away suddenly in Haverhill, MA on Friday, January 22, 2016. Born on May 22, 1966, he was the beloved son of Eleanor (Arsenault) Drabinowicz and the late Ronald Drabinowicz. Glen was raised and educated in Swampscott and was a graduate of Swampscott High School with the Class of 1984. He went on to attend the University of New England in Maine before completing his Bachelor’s Degree in Biology from Salem State College. He worked for many years as a Lab Technician, applying his wealth of science knowledge in the petroleum industry. Glen was an avid Fisherman on water and ice as well as sea and salt water. He was an outdoorsman and enjoyed hiking. He was known to pick mushrooms as well as wave his metal detector around. Glen found a coin or two along his travels and it exploded into a hobby of coin collecting which he enjoyed. Another hobby he delved into was exploring yard sales and antique shops. Glen was a thrill seeker and traveled all over to experience exhilarating roller coasters. While he had a rough exterior, he was nothing but a “softie” on the inside. A kind, warm, and gentle man, he will be missed by all his family and friends. In addition to his mother, Eleanor of Swampscott, Glen is survived by his loving wife, Lisa (Wadsworth) Drabinowicz of Lynn, his brother, Scott Drabinowicz of Swampscott, his parent-in-laws, Barbara and Larry Wadsworth of Swampscott, and his sister-in-law, Michelle Wadsworth of Swampscott. He also leaves aunts, uncles, and cousins. A funeral service will be held in the Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home, 157 Maple St. LYNN, on Saturday, January 30, 2016 at 11 AM. Interment services will be held privately. Visitation will be held in the funeral home on Friday, January 29, 2016 from 4 to 8 PM.
