Francis Cuthbert

Born in Lynn, Francis was the son of the late Edward Louis Cuthbert and Lillian (Collins) Cuthbert. After high school, Francis proudly served in the United States Army as a Private First Class. Francis then worked for the City of Lynn as a health inspector for 25 years, followed by his dedication to his painting business that he shared with his sons. Family was one of Francis’s most cherished aspects of life, and he loved his tremendously.

In addition to his wife Eleanor, Francis is survived by his son Michael Cuthbert and his wife Deborah of Nashua, NH, daughter Linda Segee and her partner Paul Amoroso of Kingston, NH, daughter Debra Conley of Lynn, son Thomas Cuthbert and his wife Karen of Lynn, daughter Kathleen Cuthbert of Lynn, daughter Allison (Cuthbert) Keating and her husband Paul of Lynn, daughter Leslie Fiore and her partner Michael VanTasell of Lynn, and his daughter Marianne Bright of Wells, ME. He also leaves behind 12 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.

Francis was predeceased by his brother Edward Cuthbert and his sisters Marilyn McLaughlin, Colleen Dalgewicz, Gwendolyn Corson, and Dolores Mitchell. He was also predeceased by his son Francis X. Cuthbert.

A funeral for Francis will be held on Monday, November 21, 2022 at 9AM, in the Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home, 157 Maple Street, Lynn, followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Mary Church, 8 S. Common St., Lynn at 10AM. His burial will take place in Pine Grove Cemetery in Lynn.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Francis to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
