Born in Haiti, she was the daughter of the late St. Armand and Michelia (Valerus) Mereus.
In addition to her husband, she leaves her children, Claude Mereus of Georgia, Jacqueline Joseph of Lynn, Tony St. Louis of Canada, and Nicole and Wisline St. Louis both of Haiti. She was the sister of Charles P. Mereus of Spring Valley, NY, Arnaude Mereus of Canada, Max Mereus of Florida, Lamard Mereus of Boston, Odette Mereus-St. Vil of Canada and Madam Alfred Delly of Canada. Also survived by 13 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, May 19, 2012 at a time and place to be announced. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery. Visiting Hours are Friday, May 18, 2012 from 6-8PM in Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home, 157 Maple St. Lynn.
