Edward A. Comendul

Edward Andrew Comendul died on Wednesday, March 26, 2025 at the age of 54. He was born in Malden, raised in Lynn, and was the beloved son of Joyce M. (DeSilva) Comendul – Capitao of Lynn and the late Andrew Comendul. He was a graduate of Lynn English High School, Class of 1989, and resided in Lynn for most of his life. He was a member of the Carpenters Union Local 218 and worked for Lymo Construction. Later he worked for the Tin Knockers Union, then operated street sweepers and recycling machines in Vermont, and lastly as a maintenance technician in Massachusetts.

He enjoyed spending time with his family, weightlifting, Texas Holdem, and his beloved animals, especially his pit bull and two cats. He was a communicant of St. Pius V while growing up, but more recently became a member of the Knights of Columbus and St. Charles Borromeo Parish in Woburn.

Edward is survived by his mother Joyce M. Capitao, his stepfather John Capitao, his fiancé Jessica DeNuccio, his niece Arianna Comendul, and his aunts, uncles and cousins. In addition to his father, Edward is predeceased by his brother David Comendul.

Edward’s visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 2, 2025 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home, 157 Maple Street, Lynn. His funeral will be on Thursday, April 3, 2025 at 9:30AM from the Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:30AM at St. Pius V Church, 215 Maple Street, Lynn. Burial will be private.
