Ms. Edith F. Hahn

Edith F. Hahn, age 87 of Lynn, passed away on Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at Rosewood Nursing and Rehab Center in Peabody. She was born on March 17, 1929 in Lynn, the daughter of the late, Seth and Bella (Duncan) Hahn. She was raised and educated in Lynn and graduated from Lynn Classical High School. Edie had worked in the local shoe industry for many years, prior to working for EG&G in Salem, MA.

Edie enjoyed going dancing and playing cards with her friends.

She is survived by her sister, Gertrude Tidestrand of Lynn, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by six brothers and sisters; Florence Comeau, Alfred Hahn, Arthur Hahn, Ruth McMahon, Janet Morrow and Myrtle Hahn. Edie’s family would like to thank the staff of Rosewood, for the loving care that they provided to Edie during her stay there.

Family and friends are invited to calling hours on Friday, January 20, 2017 from 3-7 PM at Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home, 157 Maple Street, Lynn, MA 01904. Her funeral will begin at 10 AM on Saturday, January 21, 2017 at the funeral home, with a Funeral Service to take place at 11 AM at St. Stephen’s Church, 74 South Common Street in Lynn. Burial will follow the service in Pine Grove Cemetery on Boston Street in Lynn.
