E. Louise Haley LeClair, 96, of Lynn, passed away on Easter Sunday, April 1, 2018. Born in Lynn, she was the daughter of the late Frederick and Estella (Mallet) Conners. She was the wife of the late George F. Haley, Jr., a Lynn firefighter who passed away in the line of duty on October 31, 1960 and William A. LeClair.
A lifelong resident of Lynn, she taught pre-school at Christ Child Nursery for many years. She especially loved ballroom dancing and spending time with her many friends at the Peabody Senior Center. Louise enjoyed playing the organ for her family on holidays and gatherings. She also wrote poetry and was published in the Library of Congress.
She leaves her son, Donald Haley and his wife Kathe of Lynn; grandchildren, Jennifer Haley of Georgia, and Michael Haley of Lynn. She also leaves and will be missed by several nieces, nephews, and great-grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Edwin Conners and Shirley Madigan.
A funeral service will be held at the Cuffe McGinn Funeral Home, 157 Maple Street, Lynn on Thursday, April 5 at 10AM. Burial to follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Lynn. Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, April 4 from 4-7PM.
