Bruce A. Anderson

LYNN – Bruce Alexander Anderson, 78, a lifelong Lynn resident passed away suddenly on Tuesday, July 30th at Salem Hospital. Bruce was the beloved and devoted husband of Gail Lillian (Samuelson) Anderson of Lynn with whom he shared 40 years of marriage.

Born in Lynn, Bruce was the son of the late William and Ellen (Shea) Anderson. He served in the US Army in Korea during the Vietnam War. Bruce owned and operated Lynn Carpet for over 47 years.

Bruce was the loving father of Robert Sibelle and his partner Ellen of Gloucester, Lorrie Dodge and her partner, John Collins of Peabody, Colleen Devaney and her husband, Shawn of Merrimack, NH, Michael Sibelle, Bruce Anderson and his wife, Pamela, all of Lynn, Dianne Conrad of Swampscott, Sean Anderson and his wife, Paula of Danvers, Angela Anderson of Saugus and Eric Anderson of Lynn; the cherished grandfather of Cameron, Walter, Danielle, Sarah, Shane, Emily, Taylor, Caylee, Alyssa, Katerina, Lia, Añgele, Anthony, Fanell, and Eric; the adoring great-grandfather of Isabella and Connor; the dear brother of William Anderson of California and the late Carol Brunell and Ellen Ellsworth; the foster brother of Ronald Ross of Ossipee, NH and the uncle of many nieces and nephews.

Bruce enjoyed spending time with his entire family, especially days at the ocean and camping, including several trips to Pine Knoll Campground in Albany, NH. He especially loved spending time with his grandchildren, including their weekend swimming outings. He will lovingly be remembered as wonderful family man, a great husband and a terrific father and grandfather.

Visiting hours will be held on Saturday, August 3rd from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home, 157 Maple St., Lynn followed by a Funeral Service at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday in the funeral home. Burial in Pine Grove Cemetery will be private.
